I’ve seen and tried almost every brand of recovery track on tour giving them a serious real world test and workout, especially towing camper trailers and large hybrid vans where we do. We’ve split, snapped, bent and broken all others, the only brand that goes the distance are the original and best MAXTRAX.
It has something to do with their hi-tec specially patented designed plastic material. That is the big secret to MAXTRAX durability, strength, bend and flex. I have one MAXTRAX that was literally bent in half after being winched out of the mud. It took three days of parking the 79 series on top of it to straightened it out. I still have it and use it today. Not a single split in it.
We only use the MAXTRAX Xtreme and that is what I recommend for you. If you get a bit excited with the throttle on any other you’ll tear the tread grip right off them. With the XTREME you don’t have to worry about that. Believe me, we’ve tested them. Worst case, you can buy and replace the aluminium teeth. We’ve only had to replace a few with all the work we do. That is why I recommend the MAXRAX XTREME.
I reckon we use more MAXTRAX than anyone else, in particular for track building and recovery prevention maybe more so than recoveries themselves.
MAXTRAX XTREME is the most advanced 4WD recovery track ever created. Desert Tan MAXTRAX are the choice of Special Forces units in desert combat.
