I reckon everyone should have one of these in their touring vehicle, especially when fully loaded and towing.
We love the Ultragauge MX as it has all the standard features with the unique added ability to access non-standard manufacturer specific gauges, such as transmission pan and torque converter temperature, EGT, Boost and more.
Last night on my home with a one hour highway drive the LC200 went into limp mode with an EGR code. Cleared it with the UltraGauge and away we went. Yes, I reckon everyone should have this in modern 4WD’s.
We have the UltraGauge fitted to our 2018 Landcruiser 200 as well as Ron’s brand new 78 series troopy. Both cam with additional preprogrammed gauges; Trans Pan temp, Torque Converter temp, Exhaust Gas temp and more. This is by far the most comprehensive and best value for money gauge on the market and available for most modern vehicles.

Standardized OBDII parameters; roughly 135. Many are not very useful and of the 135, manufacturers typically provide 1/3 or less. UltraGauge inherently offers ~ 60 of these parameters. Standardized OBDII parameters are typically related to emissions.
Manufacturer specific parameters: These are parameters that the manufacturer has inserted for their own purposes. Many are duplicates of the Standardized gauges, while others are wholly separate and not included in the standardized OBDII parameters. These parameters are not focused on emissions and can be any useful parameter the manufacturer has seen fit to insert. The UltraGauge MX can access standard OBDII parameters, and has the ability to access Manufacturer parameters, if the codes are known.

CUSTOM GAUGE PROGRAMMING IS AVAILABLE
Your UltraGauge MX 1.4 will come pre-programmed with transmission temperatures as stated above yet other available gauges in the gauge list will need to be assigned, by you, to the page where you would like them displayed.
We can offer full customisation of your gauge, configured for you out of the box. If you don’t want to assign gauges to varying pages, setup alarms etc we can do it for you! If you do chose this option which is available upon purchase please email info@preciseauto.com.au with your specific gauge display requirements:
– In the email please detail your name, contact number and invoice number
– Please detail what gauges you would like on what page (7 pages with up to 8 gauges per page available)
– What alarms you would like set and at what parameter (for example – coolant temp alarm set at 95 degrees)
– Any other specific requirements you may have, or questions related to customising your gauge

- This variant is pre programmed for the Toyota vehicles listed and will read transmission temperatures.
- The Pre 2016 unit comes pre prorgrammed with Pan and Torque converter temperature, gear position and torque converter lockup status gauges.
- The Post 2016 (DPF models) unit comes pre prorgrammed with Pan and Torque converter temperature, gear position, torque converter lockup status and EGT gauges.
- The 2021 Hilux and Prado gauges are ONLY pre programmed with transmission Pan Temp gauge. Unlike other models there is not a Torque Converter, Gear Position or Torque Converter Lock-Up gauges available.
- The FJ Cruiser gauge will only read transmission Pan and Torque converter temperatures and will not display gear position or torque converter lock-up status.
- The new 300 Series Landcruiser Ultragauge MX1.4 will come pre programmed with Transmission Pan temperature and EGT, torque converer temperature, gear position or lockup status are not available.
- The UltraGauge will not read vehicle fuel senders and requires end user input to enable accurate fuel reading for trip gauges
- If you have had an engine or transmission remap, or a torque converter lock-up kit installed this may effect ability of the gauge to read certain parameters. The gauge looks to find factory PIDs/parameters, if it is unable to see these PIDs/parameters the gauge will default to a display output of ‘ERR’.
