Follow the path of Charles Sturt’s 1830 expedition, tracing the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers from the heart of NSW to the sea.
Travel backroads, red-gum forests, and station trails through Yanga National Park and classic Riverina country before crossing into South Australia for three nights aboard Custom House Houseboats — cruising the Murray and reaching the remote MacCabe Corner by tinny.

Finish your journey at Goolwa, where the mighty Murray meets the Southern Ocean — a fitting end to this epic overland adventure. Raise a glass to Sturt’s men, who once rowed all the way back upstream in search of the river’s source.

Limited to just 9 vehicles, this small-group expedition welcomes full-height dual-axle caravans, hybrid vans, and off-road camper trailers of all kinds.
